About Me
Hi there, Mama!
I’m Amanda, wife to my high school sweetheart (12 years and counting!) and proud mama to our one-year-old daughter, Rory. We’re originally from Pennsylvania, but for nearly seven years we’ve called the gorgeous Cayman Islands home.

My Motherhood Journey
I’ve been a CPA since 2013, and before Rory, I worked in corporate accounting. I fully expected to return after maternity leave, but the moment I held her in my arms, all of my priorities changed. I realized I didn’t want to miss a single milestone, because they really do grow up faster than you think. I always thought people were exaggerating, but now I just want to treasure every messy, joyful, unforgettable moment.
Walking away from the corporate world wasn’t easy. It provided financial comfort and stability, and I’ll be the first to admit that giving that up was wasn’t easy. However, deep down, I knew I couldn’t miss out on this special time with my daughter. So, with plenty of nerves, a whole lot of prayer, and a big leap of faith, I took the chance and started my own bookkeeping and consulting business. That leap gave me something priceless: a flexible schedule and the ability to be fully present with Rory. Every messy, magical, and perfectly imperfect moment with my little BFF is a gift I’m so grateful for. It was scary, but absolutely worth it.

Parenting Style & Favorite Moments
I’d describe my parenting style as “go-with-the-flow with a side of structure.” We thrive on scheduled naps, but we’re always happy to trade them in for a fun-filled adventure. Watching Rory’s little personality develop and seeing her learn something new every day has been my favorite part of motherhood. I thought the newborn stage would be my favorite, but honestly, each season just keeps getting better and better.

Why I Started This Motherhood Blog
This blog is my way of sharing the simple hacks, easy recipes, and fun activities that make mom life a little smoother. I also want it to be a space for honest parenting advice and motherhood tips that help fellow moms feel supported. Motherhood can be isolating, but you’re not alone. You’ve got a mom friend here. Think of this blog as your village: a place for encouragement, laughter, and practical tips to navigate the joys, chaos, and occasional “how did this happen?” moments of parenting.

I’m so glad you’re here, Mama. Pull up a chair, ask me anything, and let’s make this wild, wonderful journey of motherhood a little simpler, and maybe even a little fun, together.
With love,
Amanda
